Nicole Peltz burst onto the scene two years ago with her role in Transformers: Age of Extinction, and since then, she has been a regular on both the red carpet and the critically acclaimed FX show Bates Motel. Up next, Youth in Oregon, a film that opens later this year, and When the Lights Go Out, a pilot the actress is filming in Georgia. Peltz’s favorite trick of the trade? “I always journal as my character,” she says.
Peltz grew up with six brothers, played ice hockey, and has done some decidedly strenuous work on set (what with all that running in heels circa Transformers). Here, the actress talks fitness with The Violet Files, revealing her preferred workout locations, attire, and soundtrack, and her beauty regimen once she’s done working up a sweat.

Natural, air-dry. I don’t blow-dry my hair.
