If you are coming out of a relationship or your relationship is ending, it is time to start having more fun on your own. Learning to have fun on your own might not be easy at first, especially if you have never really spent much time on your own, but it is possible. You don’t need a plus 1 to be happy, and you certainly don’t need anyone else to be happy and content within your life.
Ending relationships
If you are not having fun or enjoying being in a relationship anymore, it is probably time to call it a day. If you are married and are considering divorce, then remember that the divorce process can be peaceful; it doesn’t have to be all about the drama and the tears that you always see on TV. Two people can fall out of love, get divorced, and still be friends without any ulterior motive or hostility.
Meeting new people
One of the best ways to have fun is to meet new people. You don’t have to be looking for a relationship; focus on friendship. Join groups and clubs based on or around an interest or hobby or yours and meet like-minded people. Joining something new is exciting, and it gives you something to look forward to, whether it be an offline or online group. Meeting people in new groups from all backgrounds is interesting and ideal for sharing your life history and experiences.
Leaving the past behind
To move forward, you have to leave the past behind. You do not have to forget the past, in fact, quite the opposite. You need to embrace the past and look at how it has shaped you into the person you are today. Look at what you have gained from past experiences, jobs, and relationships, and be grateful for everyone that has entered and left your life. Everything you have experienced in your past will set you up for a positive and fun future, as you are now completely and totally in control.
Love your body
Part of having more fun is enjoying and even loving who you are. Your body is fantastic, and you should treat it as the fantastic machine that it is. If you are not happy with your weight or size for some reason, then lose some weight. If you want to diet, then go for it, but remember that life is way too short to be constantly on yo-yo diets that will ultimately leave you feeling worse about yourself.
Find what makes you HAPPY
People change over time; you change over time. What once made you happy might not work anymore, so do not be afraid of change. Don’t be afraid to try new things and to put yourself out there. The only thing that is holding you back and limiting you is YOU, so stop it right now. Do not put things off any longer than you have wanted to do.
