School is back in session, summer holidays are gone by and everyone is gearing up to get back into the full swing of things. Even so, there is always a reason to take a quick trip to the nation’s capital whether for a few days of shopping or to attend some interesting exhibitions in London. Autumn 2015 has a few notable exhibitions lined up that just may interest you. A bit of something for everyone and here are a few you might want to check out.
Bond in Motion Nearing Its End
Here is one for all you 007 aficionados who haven’t yet had a chance to see the real deal! Although this collection of original James Bond autos has been ongoing since March of 2014, it is set to end this coming 31 December. Located at the London Film Museum, 45 Wellington Street, London WC2E 7BN this is the only place you will get an ‘up-close’ view of the original vehicles used in the James Bond movies and some of these collector’s pieces are in primo condition. Car buffs? This is one you won’t want to miss!
IP Expo Europe
No one could survive today without the information superhighway, the internet, and if you are in the business of IT, on any level, this is one expo you won’t want to miss. Set to be held at ExCel London on 7-8 October, there will be guest speakers from literally every end of the industry. There will be more than 300 guest speakers and seminars being held on location during these two days and topics will include everything from Cloud Infrastructure to Cyber Security. Whether you are looking to host an exhibition stand designed by finesse-exhibitions.co.uk at this venue, or are looking for much needed training, this is ‘the’ event IT professionals look forward to each and every year.
Shoes: Pleasure and Pain
Now, here’s an odd one for you! If you are into fashion, this is a must see. Whilst it has been ongoing at the Victoria and Albert Museum, Cromwell Road, London since May of this year, the attraction will continue through Sunday 31st January of 2016. Looking for some wild Christmas gift ideas? Why not take a look at extreme footwear through the ages. Here you will see sandals embellished in gold and some of the highest heels the world can ever imagine. Take a weekend in the city to do some holiday shopping but before you decide on a pair of shoes, get some inspiration (or not!) from this exotic footwear from around the globe.
These are just three of the most interesting exhibitions you will find in London this autumn. However, whether you are a history buff, a 21st Century techie, a movie-goer or a full-blown fashionista, London has an exhibition you can take in on your next trip to the city. Take a few extra days so you can get in some sightseeing and shopping but by all means, plan to visit one or more exhibitions that will captivate your imagination and provide some amazing food for thought. Only in London!
