For those that don’t know, I have been on a major health and wellness kick for the past 2.5 months. I just completed an intense program that had me in the gym 4 times a week at 6am for weight training, revamped my entire diet to include only healthy, whole foods and totally excluded white carbs, sugar and (gasp) alcohol.
After years of doing non-weight workouts (spinning, yoga, Pilates) I needed a change. The change needed to be more about my habits, and getting into a new groove. After 2 months of eating very clean, one thing I picked up from my trainer is the need for a protein shake after each workout.
I have been a person that has always despised protein shakes. For as long as I can remember, they always tasted like chalk. Now, with the help of places like Liquiteria and helpful website like Pinterest, making a tasty protein shake isn’t as hard.
Here is one I came up with recently that is easy to make, good for you and tastes great.
Green Tea Matcha Protein Shake
1 scoop vanilla plant protein ( I like purelyinspired)
1 tbsp organic green tea matcha
2 tbsp 0% greek yogurt
1 packet chia seeds
2-3 ice cubes.
Add to blender. Blend for 1 minute. Garnish w/ mint & unsweetened coconut flakes.
