We are half way through January of the new year. How are your fitness goals coming along?
When people typically set New Year’s Resolutions or goals, they tend to sometimes be impractical. Studies show that less than half of people are successful in reaching their New Year’s fitness goals.
This year I resolved to make healthy living a bigger part of my life. I’m starting off the month with a new trainer/nutritionist, taking Kundalini Yoga Level 2 and doing more workouts that are FUN. So far I’ve experimented with ballet, Barre3, pilates, TRX, The Monster Cycle, Biohacking Fitness

Be honest with yourself as to why you want to achieve your fitness goals. Is it for better overall health? Is it to fit into your favorite pair of jeans? Know
Keep it Enjoyable
When you are scheduling your workouts and planning your meals, make sure it is something you enjoy. Don’t stop everything cold turkey and cut yourself off from every food you enjoy.
Find healthy substitutes, or only have dessert once a week if that’s your thing. I substitute sparkling water for anything I used to drink calorie-heavy (including alcohol!).

Working out is better with a friend! Not only does it keep you accountable, but studies have also shown that healthy habits of others rub off on us, and people gravitate towards exercise behaviors of those around them.
